This post is for my Foodies out there. Yummy!
Aside from Beauty, I love me some food. When I say I LOVE ME SOME FOOD...boy you have no idea. Food is my happy place, hence why I need to start working out 😩
I could be having the crappiest day, give me a beautifully cooked meal, and boom.. mood changed!
But being of Hispanic decent, I'm used to eating rice, chicken, pork chops.. etc. So I need to make some changes in my lifestyle so that when special occasions arise, I can enjoy my families traditional cooking.
Since changing up my eating habits, I've gravitated towards Fish, especially Salmon.
I've experimented with different recipes on cooking Salmon, but I will have to say, the Maple Salmon recipe is my favorite!
This recipe I got from Allrecipes.com and I've used it a few times, and it tastes scrumptious every time!
If you like fish, what kind of recipes do you like?
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.
When I made my dish, I made it with a side of brown rice and either some green beans or some broccoli.
Enjoy!
